Production Technician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Serves as a positive role model consistent with Polo’s corporate culture at all times.

2. Production Support/ Trainers are available to review any questions on Job Instructions and give direction on operations prior to the start up on jobs.

3. Rotates throughout the department/team as necessary to achieve objective.

4. Inspects visually for defects according to Quality Systems manual and floor inspection procedure and notifies production support if problems occur.

5. Produces a quality product on time.

6. Packs specific items in designated cartons according to QA manual. Follows packing instructions as defined on masters and keeps accurate counts.

7. Prepares and tags all production parts in process.

8. Records accurate counts and rejects of daily production into the ShopTrak system.

9. Moves from one team to the next as business needs require without notice.

10. Installs raw materials with solvents and/or miscellaneous hardware manually.

11. Confronts and resolves conflicts with the team interactively.

12. Provides cost savings ideas and suggestions to eliminate waste.

13. Works with department and Production Support to prepare Product Alerts.

14. Uses shop aids for random inspection.

15. Monitors daily team schedules to meet established customer delivery requirements.

16. Provides positive attitude for team involvement. Must be a strong team player and interact well with others.
